NFHM offers Technical Assistance and support
to faith-based not-for-profits who are doing affordable housing work. Our
hope is to enable and empower groups with more options and capacity to serve
their neighborhoods in effective ways. Whether in large or small ways,
we can offer help to your organization in meeting its goals. Our experienced
staff and network of affordable housing affiliates can offer creative solutions
to the challenges that are encountered in the affordable housing ministry.
Current TA Services that we provide are: - Real Estate Development/Transactions - Planning the development of needed affordable housing is a very challenging but also rewarding way to help provide for the local community. Our experience and analysis tools are available to help you plan and coordinate the real estate development process from start to finish. We are also able to support your organization in real estate asset acquisition, disposition and valuation. - Program/Ministry Development - NFHM can support your faith-based ministry in housing by helping you to expand and adapt current programs or design new innovate ways to incorporate ministry in your group. - Architectural/Design - Design and visual presentation can be essential to the success of housing ministries. We offer support in initial design development, building design, construction drawings, drafting and 3-d modeling. NFHM staff has the technical capacity and skills to meet your architectural and design drawing needs. - Legal/Policy Research - NFHM resources are also available to provide research services concerning new or existing affordable housing policy and legislation. Knowing how these effect your organization today will help you plan for the future. - Real Estate Financial Analysis - Affordable housing may be assisted through a variety of complex financial structures and subsides, such as LIHTC, Sec 8, Sec 236, Sec 202, TE Bonds and other public or private resource to help you arrange the most effective financial structure. - Resource Development - We are able to assist your organization's needs for acquiring financial resources in order to provide housing ministries. NFHM can assist in grantwriting, funding applications and local resource development. - Technology Services - Whether it be as basic as setting up an email system or a website to more complex technology needs, NFHM is available to serve. |
